I live in the Old-Montreal for almost fourteen years now. During all these years I had the chance to discover one of Montreal’s institutions that has been here for more than 24 years. It’s Olive + Gourmando, which is a charming and well-known for its quality bakery, café and restaurant. This year, O+G has opened a Holidays pop-up store, presenting, and selling some of their own products and a selection of local, original, and interesting products as well. This fall, I have been hand-selected by RAW Artists Canada to participate in one of their events that took place last week, on Friday November 18 at the beautiful Théâtre Paradoxe in Montreal. RAW Artists Canada has as their mission to serve independent artists with tools, resources, education, and exposure needed to thrive and succeed in our creative careers. Cette année j’ai eu la chance d’être sélectionné par Art Cible pour le programme 2022-2023. Art Cible est une organisation à but non lucratif qui organise des expositions collectives, favorisant les rencontres et les échanges entre artistes et amateurs d’art. Dans ce contexte, j’ai pu participer à ma première exposition collective dans une galerie le 20 octobre dernier. En plus du plaisir d’exposer mon travail, le comité de sélection a choisi mon œuvre ‘’Horizonte’’ pour le montage de l’affiche promotionnel. J’ai partagé cette exposition avec les artistes Amer Rust, Christiane Arbour, Éric Mailloux, Gavlois, Jeremy Paguet, Jibé Laurin, Katie Paglialunga, Maria Isabel Rodriguez, Math Lamarre, et Meghan Galal. I will be participating in a Pop-up show in mid-September (the 17th) outside of Riverside, in Saint-Henri, Montreal, right in front of the Lachine Canal. There will be different artists and live music. For this first-time experience in a collective pop-up show, I will show and sale some original works and I have also prepared sixteen new illustrations. These illustrations will be available on limited series of high-quality prints on Arches paper. For the people living or visiting Montreal that day, I hope can enjoy of a beautiful end of summer day by the canal, some drinks and some art. Hope to see you there!
