Les hivers sont longs au Canada. C’est une période qui se prête bien au recueillement et à la création. En contrepartie, l’été, quand on a de la chance, on en profite, on sort, on croque la vie.
Cette année, cette période, d’un été prolongé, commençant depuis les jours chauds du printemps, fut remplie de belles opportunités d’exposer mon travail et d’échanger avec d’autres artistes, avec des amateurs d’art et des collectionneurs.
J’ai commencé ce réchauffement avec plusieurs expositions pop-up avec Art-Cible, à l’Atelier Galerie 2112 à Montréal. Ces soirées dans une galerie d’une ambiance décontractée et chaleureuse, ont été remplies de gens et d’échanges intéressants. Des moments provocant de l’inspiration et de la motivation créative.
Puis, le moment est venu de sortir de Montréal!
J’ai participé pour la deuxième fois à une exposition collective organisée par RAW Artists Canada, cette fois-ci à Toronto, une ville que je connais bien et que j’adore mais où je n’avais jamais montré mes œuvres. Lors de cet évènement, qu’en plus des expositions d’art, comptait avec de la musique live et des défilés de mode, j’ai eu un secteur de salle dans lequel j’ai pu exposer une bonne partie des mes œuvres. Pour la première fois, j’ai présenté mon travail à l’extérieur de Montréal. Ce fut très agréable de pouvoir arriver dans une autre ville, de discuter avec des amateurs d’art et d'avoir de la rétroaction concernant la réponse des gens envers mes œuvres.
Parlant de sortir de la ville, j’ai pu aussi participer virtuellement à la Swiss Art Expo 2023, qui a eu lieu à Zurich du 6 au 9 septembre. Grâce à une collaboration avec Artboxy, trois de mes œuvres furent exposées numériquement dans des écrans dans un espace de cette exposition dans la gare de trains de Zurich. L’architecture de la gare a donné un cadre majestueux à l’exposition et des centaines de personnes ont pu y assister. Même si je n’ai pas eu l’opportunité d'être là-bas physiquement, je suis fier que mes images s’y soient rendues.
Cet été, on a bougé et cela fait plaisir!

Winters in Canada are long. It is a period that lends itself well to meditation and creation. On the other hand, in summer, when we are lucky, we take advantage of it, we go out, we enjoy life to the maximum.
This year, this period, of a prolonged summer, starting from the warm days of spring, was filled with great opportunities to exhibit my work and to exchange with other artists, with art lovers and collectors.
I started this warming up with several pop-up exhibitions with Art-Cible, at Atelier-Galerie 2112 in Montreal. These evenings in a gallery with a relaxed and warm atmosphere were filled with people and interesting exchanges. Provoking moments of inspiration and creative motivation.
Then, the time has come to get out of Montreal!
For the second time, I participated in a group exhibition organized by RAW Artists Canada, this time in Toronto, a city that I know well, and I love but where I had never showed my art. During this event, which in addition to art exhibitions included live music and fashion shows, I had a sector in which I was able to exhibit a good part of my works. For the first time, I presented my work outside of Montreal. It was very nice to be able to arrive in another city, chat with art lovers and get feedback on people's response to my works.
Speaking of getting out of town, I was also able to virtually participate in the Swiss Art Expo 2023, which took place in Zurich from September 6-9. Thanks to a collaboration with Artboxy, three of my works were exhibited digitally on screens in a space of this exhibition in the Zurich train station. The architecture of the station gave a majestic setting to the exhibition and hundreds of people were able to attend this exhibition. Even though I didn't have the opportunity to be there physically, I'm proud that my images made it there.
This summer, we moved and it’s nice!
The season is over, but my practice and exhibitions are not. Stay tuned for news about current and upcoming exhibitions or events.
